Venitian Masked Lady in Red

$633.00

I was inspired from the History of the Venice Carnival and from the phantom of the opera masquarades. The tradition of the mask started in the 13th century when venitians would hold celebrations and parties from December 26th until the start of Lent and wear elaborate masks to conceal their idendity. These parties where the only time when the lower and upper classes mingled together.
