Joyce Hatem & Dina Ariss

Biography:
Joyce Hatem obtained an MBA from ESCP Europe and a Master’s degree in Architecture from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA), where she also teaches architecture and is part of the educational committee of “the school of architecture”. Hatem works in the field of architecture and interior design. Passionate about photography, she took part in many collective exhibitions in Beirut. Her wide experience gave birth to her fascination for street photography, developing a special interest in coastal towns and dense cities.

An artist and designer by heart, Dina Ariss graduated from ALBA with an Art Direction BA degree followed by a Master’s degree in Packaging Design from Strate Collège in France. She then worked her magic in the advertising world. Now a mother of 3, she freelances at home and in her spare time works on designing pieces of art using real-life photography.

CITY MOMENTS by Joyce Hatem in collaboration with Dina Ariss:

The photo collection “City moments” is about what is possible when two creatives of different disciplines work together. Freezing the moment through the eye of an architect, emotionally enhanced by a graphic designer’s touch. Joyce Hatem “architect” is sharing her work and experience on how we can overcome our limitations when we push ourselves out of our comfort zone, by presenting a collaboration and exploratory project with Dina Ariss “graphic designer”.
