Monologue

Monologue is a painting that was revisited a couple of times with continued efforts to bring a better translation to what I call “my relationship with life”. 

As much as our lives have meaningful sides, not much of who we are and our very purpose of existence can be easily understood. My inner monologue was pretty much random. I painted all the absurd things that crossed my mind, with no understanding of the various elements.

The comically-complex output sounds funny, ironic, sad, and at the same time humorous, reflecting on the vastness of our mind. We can drill into so many interpretations of life and never come back. As Dale Harding said in One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest: “We are lunatics from the hospital up the highway, psycho-ceramics, the cracked pots of mankind.”
